I looked at a few guns over the weekend and ended up getting an HK VP9 today.
Pros: really good ergonomics. It fits very well in my hand. It's ambidextrous. The mag release is located in the trigger guard instead of being a button on the side of the grip. This translates to smoother kydex IWB holsters with no bulge pressing against my body.
My last purchase, a Canik TP9SF Elite Combat was an excellent gun with the best trigger I've ever fired. But I've never concealed carry before so it never occurred to me to think about what the holster might feel like jammed up against my body. It's an OWB only gun for me.

I have yet to find any gun that fits comfortable IWB for me. Even my Ruger lcr .38 doesnt feel right IWB.

I discovered the same thing. I OWB 3:30 and dress to carry. Never had a problem 8 years

Yeah me too 7:30 for me is the most comfortable especially when driving.

A southpaw I assume

Yep. I have a Ruger American Compact I'm using my revolver is more a pocket carry..

I ended up cutting off the mag release cover from the holster. I tried and tried in several different places to try and push the mag release button with different parts of my body but I have enough squish around my waist that it was impossible to do. Now it's a lot more comfortable.
