POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING IN PENNROCK – WILMINGTON
(Wilmington, DE 19809) Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal
Investigations Unit are investigating a shooting in the Pennrock community–Wilmington.
On Monday, February 6, 2023, at approximately 11:04 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the
500 block of W Holly Oak Road in reference to a shooting that just occurred. Upon arrival,
officers located a 22-year-old male victim who had been shot in his lower body. The victim
was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
This investigation is still active and anyone with information or video pertaining to this incident
is asked to please contact Detective Daryl Haines at 302-395-8137 or by email at

The back yards of these properties face Silverside Road, in the area between I-95 and Carr Road.
