Title: Can a Delaware resident buy at PA gun show?
Post by: czer on November 02, 2010, 11:55:21 PM
As a Delaware resident, can I purchase a rifle at a Pennsylvania gun show? I hear one is coming up at King of Prussia, this weekend, (the "Philadelphia Gun Show"?), and am looking for a good deal on a Marlin Model 60 .22, new or used. Anyone know?

If I am not mistaken*, only an FFL can do an interstate transfer (even at a gun show: private interstate sales are illegal).
An FFL attending a gun show in PA should be able to transfer a long gun to a Delaware resident on the spot, after the usual background checks.
Transfer of a handgun must be done through a FFL here in Delaware, whether you buy it at a gun show in KOP or just across the line at Targetmaster.

*I am not a lawyer. Your mileage may vary. Actual mileage will probably be less.

Long guns can be purchased out of state.  Handguns must be purchased in state only.

Point of clarification:  You can buy a handgun out of state...just not cash and carry.  It would have to be shipped from where you buy it to a FFL in your home state...where you will pick it up.
