I would probably need a Crown Vic to make it work but I always wanted a center console mounted shotgun.

The problem with dropping a spare mag in your back pocket is that it takes forever to dig that out if you need to get to it.
I learned that at action pistol...

Yup.  After a few drills I found your comment to be accurate.  I need to lose the lazy streak and actually use a proper mag pouch.

I'm getting ready to order a Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC holster for my PPQ along with another Kydex body for the PPS. Added to that is 1 mag holder for a single magazine.

Question: do you prefer your bullets face to forward or rearward on your weak side?

Rob Pincus (Combat Focus Shooting) recommends bullets to the rear.  Since mag is facing down, your arm motion will bring the mag to bullets forward at the point of insertion.

I've now heard it both ways... and can see how each could work... which ever you decide make sure you never switch it back and forth... either always forwards, or always backwards.... and if ordering a kydex mag holster make sure you check to see which direction the kydex is made... for example Kytex mag holsters are made to face the bullet forward... You'd have to order a holster for the opposite side for the bullets to face forward.
