Pa permit

Has anyone applied for a Pa non res.  permit since the first of year. Will they still take a mail in app.

Go thru Centre County...but do it quick.  There is no telling when the state will make him update.

According to PA law all CCDW Permits must be done in person after May 1, 2011.

Most say yes....however one sheriff (don't remember who) stated that once you signature and pic are on file you could just opt to reuse them and renew thru the mail.

Right now, I don't think anybody is sure how renewals...after the first visit...will work.

I think the next permit, after the changeover, will need to be done in person. I don't know if current permit holders will need to go to the county where it was issued, ir if we'll be able to go to the nearest PA county.

Centre County is a bit of a haul from here...  I guess I'll find out in 2015.

 Got my Pa.permit today 15 days since mailed. Lot better than the
13 weeks for De. Now to look up how to make it fit. Think I read to go to Staples and to get it reduce 40%
and maybe laminate it.

Follow up, just found the post Radnor on May 19,2010 copy at 60% & laminate, carry that one,
keep the org. in a safe place. Staples is a good place, got my De. permit done there. thanks

This may be a dumb question but I just don't know??   If I have DE and FL what would I gain with a PA?  Does PA recognize FL or DE?

John, it don't look like you will gain anything. Fl has more states and all off PA's. I ot the Pa. permit because it was the easyist, I think. Thinking about FL. now. Will have to find out if my gun course from J.D.Defence will do for the course req.

Look into Arizona...it's cheaper than FL, gives almost identical reciprocity, and a copy of your DE permit will suffice for training.

Follow up, went to Staples today, got Pa. permit reduced 60% and lamanited, looks good, and only cost
$1.42 with the tax.Will fit in the wallet now. Best deal in a good while.
