WILMINGTON, D.E. - July 10, 2011 (WPVI) -- Police are investigating an attempted home invasion and shooting in Wilmington, Delaware.
The incident happened around 10:30 Saturday night, on Mary Ella Drive in the Silver Springs Apartment complex.
Officials say that a man was confronted by two masked gunmen at his door. The victim was shot, while attempting to keep the gunmen from entering his home.
The victim suffered pellet wounds to the abdomen and chest, and was taken to Christiana Hospital. No word on his condition.
The suspects are believed to be juveniles.
No arrests have been made.
