Texas is in the house
« on: September 06, 2011, 01:02:27 PM »
Howdy,

I'm a Texas CHL holder & will be vacationing in Del for a couple of weeks, so I need to get a fix on your CHL laws. I'll rummage around the forum, but things I'm specifically looking for are: Delaware code citation on the use of deadly force; Delaware code citation for "do not carry" locations; & castle doctrine.

Thanks,
Trip from Plano

I'm sorry. A CHL is the Texas equivalent of a Delaware CCW. I apologize for the confusing nomenclature in my request for information about Delaware statutes governing use of deadly force, castle doctrine, etc. Thx.

Wow. 14 views and not a single response. Not even, "have a good time while you're here." Y'all aren't like Texans, are you? On Texas CHL boards, if a post gets 14 looks, it usually starts an argument over which caliber is best for carry. Me, I prefer bores that start with fours. Would it do any good to tell you I lived in Delaware until I couldn't stand it anymore? Mount Pleasant '72. UDel. MBNA. Anybody? Anybody?

Thanks, Twisted. That's really helpful. I'll be visiting Rehoboth Beach. Any shooting ranges nearby?

good resource is a book called 'travelers guide to the hand gun laws of the fifty states' it is up dated yearly and all travelers who cc or oc should have one and take with them when traveling. i cant imagine running afoul of the law in another state and having a fellony charge on my record just becouse i wanted to take care of my own protection
