Two repeat intruders shot dead in PA
« on: November 25, 2011, 11:51:17 PM »
Heres the text from a great article on www.officer.com. I don't think we'll be seeing this one in the News Journal!

Nov. 24--An East Frankford rowhouse erupted in gunfire Wednesday night when four men broke into the same house they had allegedly robbed three weeks earlier, police said.

This time one of the residents was waiting with a shotgun. The resident, who police did not identify, killed two of the intruders and shot the other two, who then fled.

Medics pronounced two of the men dead shortly after 10 p.m. Their identities were not released.

The other two suspects turned up at nearby hospitals later that night. One of them, who is 20, suffered shotgun wounds to his hand, leg and buttock, and was reported in stable condition at Albert Einstein Medical Center. The other, 22, was shot in the abdomen and reported in critical condition at Frankford Hospital.

At least two of the suspects had broken into the home on the 5200 block of Burton Street on Nov. 6. The resident recognized those men Wednesday night and opened fire, police said.

No charges had been filed as of 5 p.m. Thursday. The incident remains under investigation, a police spokeswoman said.
