Kent County Newspaper ccw help 19904
« on: February 29, 2012, 09:54:50 PM »
I'm looking to post my info to a newspaper in the 19904 (Dover) area. Thought I'd use The Dover Post. Does anyone have any info on who to contact, what exactly I need to?  What section should I contact or do I need to see them in person? I couldn't find anything on doverpost.com. If anyone recommends another paper, I'm all ears! Thanks for any help!!

Go out North Little Creek road. Dover Post on Right.  Go in front door to desk and tell them you want to post a concealed carry application notice. The lady will give you a form to sign and collect. I believe it's still $30.00, and they will send you a notorized affidavid in the mail a day or so after it appears in paper. You must wait 10 days after it is published to apply for your CCDW.

You can also post ads in the Guide.

I used the Dover Post, quick, easy and $30. Accepted by the Superior Count.

I used the Delaware State News in Dover $40. I needed to show them a copy of my application.

Calee13,
You are not legally obligate to show anybody your application to buy an ad. I suggest people applying in Kent County go to the Dover Post, and it only cost $30.00. I hadn't even filled out my application yet when I posted my ad there. The ad must be published 10 days before you put in application. It only took me about 5 minutes at the Dover Post.

What does the "ad" have to say?  I assume just a statement of some sort is all that is needed...?

WOW! People are really getting into this CCDW trend. Last QWednesday there were 15 ads for applications in the Dover Post alone. I have never , in memory, seen that many in on week in Kent County. I'm impressed.
