How many conceal carry with their safety on and how many carry with their safety off.

In case of a 1911 or guns with thumbsafety, safety is always on until drawn. In a Glock and XD (amongst others) the safety is deactivated when pulling the trigger.

Safety on unless I'm carrying a revolver
Honey I swear I've had that gun for years!

.45, as suggested, loaded and on

PPKS, is double action, so usually off

no safety on revolver

But as we teach as instructors, the safety is a mechanical device that can and will fail, don't rely on it.

Carry my 9mm with 17 hollow points in mag, 1 in chamber, safety on all the time.

I'm most used to my Sig P226, which has no external safety. It of course has a firing pin block safety, sine gaged only via the trigger. I carry this in DA mode. As long as the gun is holstered with the trigger covered, no problem. My HK's do have safeties, and I do tend to use them. But not cocked and locked, safety on, and DA.
