After much thought
« on: March 19, 2009, 11:00:11 PM »
After much thought, going back and forth about why I would want a subcompact from another gun manufacturer besides Glock, I decided that I don't, "In Glock we Trust!."
Choices were between Walther PPS, M&Pc, XD sc, and G26 (all 9mm). Yesterday, I talked to Blue Hen Firearms about a Walther PPS, which I was going to meet him this morning to give him a deposit. Fortunately, he called me in the morning saying that the PPS had been sold from the dealer he was getting it from. I called the X-Ring guys and lucky enough they had my baby Glock waiting for me in OD green. The Glock is now home, and I feel good about not giving into another manufacturer. Cannot wait to try it in the range this weekend.

I would rather deal with x-ring or The gunstock shop  than millers anyday.

Why the negative attitude towards X-Ring?  Am I missing something?

James its like anything people have bad expierences some place and would not go back. Me I hate x-ring due to how I was treated but I have no problem with Targetmaster or Millers. Other people will disagree with me but its their own opinion. When it comes to ammo I stay away from gun shops all together if I can.

Gotcha!  I have never even given Targetmaster a chance only because I've heard so many negative experiences people have had there.  Millers for me is hit or miss.  I have been there and felt like I was talked down to and I've been there and couldn't have been treated any better.  I did recently purchase an XD Service Model from X-Ring and they were helpful.  I will agree that opinions vary greatly and people can have different experiences at different places.  I was just wondering if they did something that would prevent me from going back.  Thanks for the response.
