I am pretty sure that the government would not knock on your door and ask for your assault rifle. I am afraid that would cause a whole new set of problems. And where would they find someone brilliant enough for the job???????

It seems some of you guys have not read the proposed Obama gun ban list yet.

http://rense.com/general85/obs.htm

I don't have and don't want an AR-15 myself, but I would consider this list before I spent hard earned money to buy and "assault weapon" type firearm. I have a SR9 that holds was standard with 2 17 round mags + 1 on the chamber. That will be illegal if the ban goes into effect. 10 round mags are the max allowed in this new Fed. ban. Now Maryland already has a 10 round limit. Looks like I may have to get a couple more mags. I read today that if the ban is passed, they could add more weapon and ammo to the list yet.

It looks like they copied and pasted in the list from the original AWB.

I don't know if this is an 09 list, but I'm betting it will include all these and more add since then.

Are you guys following the price gouging on anything related to these items - lowers, magazines, ammo...? Manufacturing is through the roof right now...

I've added a Magpul MOE+ grip and adjustable stock along with optics and a front grip.

Nice! They are so @@@@ fun to shoot. Google Slide Fire for your next 'upgrade' for ear to ear fun! I bought 1 for myself and a few for down the road when you cant get them anymore for whatever reason.

I've had a blast with our ARs over the last year. Just bought a CMMG Bravo .22 conversion kit with 2 25-rnd mags tonight to offset the cost of the .223 and 5.56 lately. Had thought about S&W M&P15-22 for months and the last few weeks I'm sure I looked at it twice a day. At 600 bills+ right now I simply couldn't do it. About 35 minutes later a buddy called and asked if I was interested in a CMMG Bravo plus the 2 mags.. for 125 bucks! A friend of his loaded up 1 mag to test it last year and hasn't had the time since. He gave the cash to his friend and I'll be picking it up later next week.

So.. 600.00 or 125.00.. I'm a happy camper and glad I decided to not buy the S&W tonight. My bigger issue is I keep looking at the Daniel Defense M4 Carbine, v5 mid-length and think I'm gonna have to call them Monday morning. : )

Wife's gonna have a conniption I believe... maybe I'll let her shoot it first ; )

All current owners will be grandfathered in, and the same goes with the magazine ban. If you own 30 rd mags prior to the law passing then you can legally continue to use them. They are making the manufacturer put serial numbers, and manufacturer dates on new mags produced after the law passes, if it passes.
