For some reason, the police don't stop my car very often...
Nice ride.. unfortunately I'm on the other side. Our ride screams attention and I've been pulled over at least 2 dozen times just, and I quote, "To take a look". In a way its nice but at the same time it can be annoying at times too.

I've been pulled over many times, always to look over the car. Never got a ticket & I always let them know I have a permit & I am carrying. Never had a problem & they have all been very polite. I'm thinking the gray hair helps.

Delaware has no law that you must disclose that you a carrying concealed. Now here's something you may not know. When a police officer checks your licsense on his in-car computer, your info shows that you have a concealed carry permit. I just found this out from a retired police officer at the DSSA meeting.

Pops up a red flag like you are a wanted felon.  ;-)

I figure it's more of a green flag, as in "This guy survived a much tougher background check than I can perform here on the side of Route 1..."

You been told yet today? ; ) I just last night found out ours is in the latest issue of Ron Francis Wiring catalog page 19. They requested photos 3 years ago, I sent a few in and never gave it another thought. Kinda cool lol.

Very nice vet there Knotacare! We took first place at a vet show a few years ago in NJ due to it being a general public vote. The were more then a few irate vet owners!

I'll have to rethink things a bit when were pulled over now. Quite often the officer likes to have a look under the hood meaning I get out. Wonder what the best way to handle that would be if I'm carrying at the time.

Well, it's OK to have some cars, but there need to be limits. Nobody really needs a V8 engine. Cars that go 150 miles per hour are not necessary on the highway. Cars need to have more safeguards built in. We should make cars that won't run unless everyone is wearing seat belts. We can limit their speed by putting bias-ply tires on them. Nobody needs a SUV to buy groceries or pick up their kids...

That was my first car! Well it's twin.. The Pontiac Acadian. They were exactly the same just different badges. Blue in color.

I don't complaint about gas prices simply because I do drive a V8.. A built Ford 351w to be exact. It's not a fuel economy car ; )

Anyways.. Way off topic now lol sorry

I bought an 82 'Vette Scooter (sorry) from my sister for $200, when it gave her a bit of trouble at 60,000 miles. I installed a stereo, drove it 90K more miles, then sold it. Years later, I saw that same Chevette on the road (WGBH Boston sticker: positive ID in New Jersey) going 60 with four heavyset guys in it...

Yup they were tough old cars. Was visiting back home last fall and ran into an old school friend who still had his old Acadian in the garage from the early 80s. Never painted, same engine, trany, etc. few upgrades like the shocks and standard maintenance but he still pulls it out now and hen for laughs.

We saw one in the BJ's parking lot Sunday after the DSSA meeting. White four-door, with a roof rack.
