Where to find a Dillon 550b?
« on: February 08, 2013, 08:30:56 PM »
I think instead of a .308 bolt, I'll pick up a press first. The thing is, I cant find one anywhere!! I would mainly be reloading 223/5.56 first, then 9mm second.

Anyone know of one for sale? Thanks!

Even reloading supplies are moving off the shelves quick.  If you want one in hand ASAP, I would try Cabelas.  If not check with an FFL to see if they can order it for you from one of their suppliers.

Im often a firm believer, after several hiccups of rushing decisions-as i always am working on my patience, that if im going to do something just do it right the first time. Rather than get the lower model of something just to get it now, might as well save up for a bit and get the right one and be happy with it.

On that note, to my understanding, dillon is THE press to have.

Is there any other company/model i should look at in the range if i cant find a dillon? Suggestions?

I don't believe they sell Dillon, thanks!

Think the reloading stuff, machine, primers, powder, lead, is going the same way that ammo is going. did manage to get some 223 and 7.62 today.

DING! DING!! DING!!!  We have a  WINNER!  I would NOT settle for a single stage press.  You will put money into that then after the dust settles say I should have purchased a ...
when I purchased my stuff, I went as high end as I could afford.  I only wanted to purchase ONCE.

I cannot speak for any other company other than Dillon.  You read about the no BS warranty, IT IS.  There are 3 brass pins.  I managed to crush one.  Called them TOLD them MY NEGLIGENCE in crushing it.
Wanted to buy one.  Asked me for my name and address, then said one is on the way....
