9mm
« on: February 13, 2013, 05:43:17 PM »
Does anyone have an idea when I might see a 9mm again?  Such as a Glock 19 or a Walther PPS?  They seem to be impossible to find right now?

Those 2 are very popular. I see a few PPSs on gunbroker. Also contact a LGS as I know a large shipment of PPSs arrived last week and went out to dealers. I might pickup another PPS myself

That would be my third choice but I will probably hold out for a PPS.

My wife has one and it is a great shooting and carry firearm. Right now I know a FFL who has some, but they go fast.

Checkout https://www.facebook.com/WaltherArms
They said on the 6th that several boxes of PPS 9mm handguns went out to dealers.

Also http://www.gunbroker.com/Firearms/BI.aspx?Keywords=Walther+PPS
Shows several. Watch for companies shilling their products. Also be aware you'll likely spend more on the auction sites.

I'd personally contact a LGS or local FFL and ask them to get a PPS in for you. Might take some time but you'll likely spend less.

I have a Ruger SR9, as you may guess. It is a 17+1 round centerfire semi-auto. I love it. I tried several pistols including the Glocks. I liked the balance and feel of the SR9. It also comes in a 10+1 round model. Or you can get the 17+1 and buy a couple 10 rounders if law changes. I bought mine in 2008, since they have come out with the SR9C concealed version. It's of cource smaller, and holds less ammo, but from people I know tht have them, they are great. It is made in America in Arizona. I carry mine 24/7 in a IWB holster I got from The Holster Store, made and sold in Florida. I would not trade it for anything. It feels like part of me now. Best thing I can tell you is go to a store with a range and fire one. I got mine at Shooters choice in Dover.  If you go there ask for Alex.

Love the Rugers.
How about a CZ999, formerly TZ99, which is a Serbian copy of Sig P226. Gets good reviews, and goes for ~$425.

Personally I would look at a Sig P6

I just read an article, which said it will be at least 9 months before gun and ammo supplies return to normal.

I have a Glock 23 gen 4 .40 which is nice but I carry a Taurus PT111 Millenium Pro gen 3, which fits nice in the small of your back and also if you all are looking for a nice but cheap way to go with a holster check this out, it has worked great.

Hope this helps!!

My wife bought the Ruger SR9C yesterday.  I shot and found it to be a pretty nice gun.  I just might have to steal it from her.  I'm still deciding on my new ccw gun.

Hey newlife503,

Watch that "stealing" her SR9C talk. Remember she's carrying now. Ha Ha!

My wife and daughter both have the SR9c and it is great. I liked it so much I went and bought the SR40c.
