I think this was what Frank was trying to post
Dear joseph:
Make no mistake about it, right now Governor Jack Markell and Barack Obama are on a war path to take away your right to keep and bear arms in Delaware.
You’ve heard their threats for weeks -- but now the gun-grabbing lawmakers in Dover are preparing to act.
Worse, they’re hoping to cut YOU out of the process.
Fresh off exploiting another tragedy in a supposedly “gun free” courthouse, Governor Markell isn’t wasting any time trampling on your right to keep and bear arms.
When I saw the schemes Governor Markell and his anti-gun legislative allies were planning to ram through the General Assembly -- my jaw hit the floor!
We’re talking about:
*** So-called “Universal Background Checks” -- otherwise known as Universal gun registration;
*** A broad sweeping so-called “Assault Weapons” ban -- that would outlaw thousands of semi-automatic weapons simply because they “look scary,”
(This includes rifles AND pistols;)
*** A strict magazine ban -- that would outlaw the possession of magazines that can hold more than ten -- or even five rounds;
*** An across the board increase in mandatory minimum sentences simply for possessing a firearm in violation of the law -- assuring more otherwise law-abiding citizens will be locked up simply for exercising their Second Amendment rights;
*** Imposing more gun-free “criminal safezones” -- where criminals are assured their victims will be unarmed sitting ducks, and;
*** Requiring you to call the police and report your lost or stolen firearm -- penalizing you with jail time for being the victim of a crime.
But what’s worse is they’re conspiring in back rooms to craft this legislation with virtually no public input.
Right now all across the country anti-gun state lawmakers are doing the same thing.
They’re waiting to see exactly how much gun-control they can get away with -- then ramming the bills trough as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, the devil is in the details.
From coast to coast state gun-grabbers are ramming through draconian bills that even include things like:
*** Mandatory firearm confiscation -- forcing you to surrender your guns to law enforcement or destroy them without any grandfather clause and;
*** Forced in-home government inspections -- letting law enforcement bust down your door to make sure any gun you’ve been allowed to keep is properly locked up and rendered useless according to law.
So just how bad are the anti-gun Delaware bills?
We don’t know. Lawmakers are refusing to tell you.
After twenty five years lobbying for your gun rights, I guarantee you their silence means bad things -- bank on it!
After all, Governor Markell is already on record dancing around with anti-gun Attorney General Beau Biden, declaring that the most anti-gun legislation in state history somehow is not really “about the second amendment.”
Of course, you and I both know that couldn’t be further from the truth.
And the good news is YOU can help put a stop to this nonsense.
Here's how you can help:
1.) Contact YOUR state legislators: (You can look up who represents you by clicking here.
*Senate Democrats (302) 744-4286
*House Democrats (302) 744-4351
Demand they reveal to you what anti-gun schemes they are planning.
*Senate Republicans (302) 744-4048
*House Republicans (302) 744-4171
Urge all of them to reject all new gun control.
2.) Call Governor Markell at (302) 744-4101.
Demand he publicly abandon his gun-grabbing agenda, and renounce his support for all new gun control at once.
Let them know you expect them to oppose and ALL new gun control throughout the legislative session.
Without your action, the only voices anti-gun politicians will hear will be the delusional cries to strip as many Delawareans of your Second Amendment rights as possible.
That’s why YOUR action is so crucial.
Contact your elected officials and tell them to OPPOSE all anti-gun legislation today.
There's no time to waste.
For Freedom,
Dudley Brown
Executive Vice President
