Man takes assault rifle to Delaware Park

By Carl Kanefsky

A Wilmington man faces drug and weapons charges after police find him with an assault weapon at Delaware Park.

It was 11:00 Sunday night when Brandon Buchanan called the casino's security, demanding they remove one of his relatives from the casino, and threatened to go to the casino with his assault rifle.

About an hour later, a State Trooper found Buchanan in the casino parking lot.

The trooper did a pat down search of Buchanan and found a full magazine containing twenty rounds of ammunition in Buchanan’s pants pocket.

A search of Buchanan’s vehicle uncovered a Hungarian AMD-65 assault rifle from the backseat, as well as 2.5 grams of marijuana and a pipe.

Police found another assault rifle and more ammo in Buchanan's home. He's being held on lack of bail.

Just trying to survive in the second Great Deprssion.

Another genius being irresponsible with a weapon!  People like this are the reason law abiding citizens might soon be without!

Yeah, 269,999,999 guns weren't confiscated from an genius today, but this is the one that makes it into the news.

Clearly, none of the firearms this guy had were cheap.  In fact they were a pretty nice collection. Any normal person would protect them from confiscation through brilliant actions. This incident in itself defines this person as not reasonable.  Not to be trusted with potential energy.  Seems to me the system worked.

He demonstrated irresponsibility and lost valuable items.

You know that a good question.

I think the reason they say "assault rifle" is because the anti people think it sounds more scarier and convert some to the anti-side.
