about 45 minutes to install the hardest part is the roll pin in the front sight block because you have to drop a small spring in before you insert the gas piston to prevent stress on the roll pin.

took it to the range in elk neck and put 60rds through it. it recoils a bit more and the 1.5'' eye relief on my ACOG makes me nervous form time to time but i shot about 1.5 grouping at 100yds resting my barrel on a box. not bad at all.

zero carbon on the bolt i am in love with this piston.

Does anyone know anything about the del-ton rifles? Looks like you can pick one up for about $750-800. I was thinking about picking one up or building a custom one. It seems like there is enough free info online to assist in the assembly. I think it could be a cool project plus it will be nice to how how everything works and goes together in case of problems or if I want to upgrade.

I just finished up my AR build... 2 months later.... All mil-spec parts from Bravo Company, Spikes Tactical, Daniel Defense, and Troy..... Easier than you would think to build one. Plus you get to pick all your parts. I can walk you through it...... Let me know if you have any questions, glad to help you out..
