Kahr cm9
« on: March 31, 2013, 12:05:04 AM »
Recently got one for a really good price, I've heard they come from the factory pretty stiff and need a few hundred rds to loosen up. For you guys who own a kahr, any advice for a new owner?  Have been told it will be very different from my xd  thanks

See and fondled a few but haven't fired one. Nothing wrong with a tight or stiff handgun and the few hundred rounds put through it is a good thing for anything your gonna carry.

I've 2 Walther PPSs in 9mm and these are extremely tight. I fired close to 500 rounds through one before it started to breakin. Wife had a heck of a time racking it for awhile because it was so stiff. With close to 1000 rounds through it now its much better. Still tight but she's able to load, rack and shoot it without issues now.

Good to hear.  Hopefully get a 100 through this week and having a group shoot with some friends in a few weeks to hopefully get a few hundred more through then.

Any update on the CM9. Looking for a light weight carry and Kahr is on my list.

I had a K9 that was nice.  I don't know about the CM9 but the P380 I had was also nice but it had a brutal recoil spring and was hard, for me, to rack.  The trigger is a different one.  It is long and very smooth.  A nice trigger.  Just make sure you handle a CM9 before you buy it.  See how it fits your hand and how easy or hard it is to operate.  Kahr makes fine guns.  Just see if it's for you.

I was thinking about a Kahr CM9 but for a little more I went with the S&W Shield 9mm
