Its surprising just how many manufacturers guns are made outside of the USA. Even good old Remington has a whole line made completely in Russia. Taurus revolvers are basically a S&W. Years ago they paid the S&W engineers to come down to Brazil and teach them how to run a factory. I think it is partially due to labor costs and the free trade agreements that the country has set up. Thats said, ,most of them are still very well made guns. There are a lot of gunsmiths that will only work on some of them because of the quality. For example Wilson Combat will only work on Colt, Springfield, Kimber or S&W pistols.
Honey I swear I've had that gun for years!

I'm partial to Springfield Armory.
The company makes some great guns.
The XD-40 was issued to me at work, and I have found it to be accurate and very enjoyable to shoot.
I just bought a standard 1911-A1 loaded, used at a gunshop, and its proven to be a tack driver.

So am I but my wife insists on paying the bills first.  Sometimes I just do not understand her priorities. ;)

I'm thinking no more handguns for a while unless I can find a real good deal on a Sig 229 in 9mm

I voted for Glock, but I like Smith & Wesson and Taurus revolvers.

Assuming my wife gets her CCDW, out next purchase will be a 8-shot .357 327 Night Guard for her purse:

We already have a G20 and a G29, so what other Glocks do we need?
