Delaware DMV
« on: June 06, 2013, 08:43:51 AM »
I went to the DMV and used the drive-up window last week.  Is DMV property on the no-carry list or just in the building?

If the link doesn't work, navigate to this:

That link does not work for me either.  The error states:

The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.

Also, under Non-Gun related Topics, I don't see Hanger 54.  The only 4 options I see under that category are:
  • Clubhouse
  • Photo Album
  • Enough is Enough
  • Politics

Also, doing a search for "DMV visit" only returns this thread...recognizing those words in Lumsponds post.

Is there something that is off limits to some of us for some reason?  I'm questioning this because of the statement in the error that suggests it may be off limits.

fdegree, I see a fifths option, "Hanger 54" (off the deep end), with 23 posts and 4 topics. Very strange...
Here was the post:

Had a quick look at the handgun law site. http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/delaware.pdf
It's only one of many resources, I know.
No mention of state buildings being restricted.

Carrying Of a Firearm Is Prohibited In
 Federal Buildings
 State approved "SLOTS"
 The 3 slot machine Casinos located in Delaware.
 Courthouses, police stations, prisons and other detention facilities’ (Title 11 §1256 & §1258).
 State/National Forest (Del. Regulation 3.400.8..
 Wildlife Management Areas (Del. Regulation 7.8.3.4.1).
 State Parks (Del. Regulation 7.9000.24.3, enforced by §4704(4)).

I have a question...
Sigarms12 has a sticky on the main page for no carry locations. It shows state buildings as prohibited. I can't find in the Delaware code where it states this. The only place I find prohibitions is the school zone act and the fish and wildlife. Can someone post where in the Delaware code to find this legislation. Maybe I'm just overlooking it!!

Without looking too deep into it, looks like you need to be a LIFE member to see it (5 stars).
All who said they did not see the topic are 4 or less.  That kicks in at 250 posts.

Right now gotta get an email off before I scoot.  Want to get a little trigger time in before my class today.
