@rabbit, a "law enforcement carbine" = any type of rifle that is semi-automatic, uses a replaceable magazine, and considered a modern sporting rifle.

my understanding is that the name "Law Enforcement Carbine" is language left over from 199-2004 during the federal AWB.  Its now the same model of rifle that Colt sells under the name Sporter SP6920.
