HOORAY - 53-46 VOTE TO KILL UN ARMS TREATY IN SENATE
« on: January 20, 2014, 02:19:21 PM »

Subject: HOORAY - 53-46 vote

*The only one we can hold accountable is Mary Landrieu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

*This is that brief, glorious moment in history* *when everyone stands around...reloading.*

*Now, Which 46 Senators Voted repeal the Second Amendment? Well, let their names become known !! See below *

*In a 53-46 vote, the Senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.  The Statement of Purpose from the Bill reads:  "To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty."  The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms.  The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S. and had language that would have implemented an **international gun registry, now get this, **on all private guns and
ammo.*

*Astonishingly, 46 out of our 100 United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.*

*Here are the 46 senators who voted to give your rights to the U.N.*

       *Baldwin (D-WI)*
       *Baucus (D-MT)*
       *Bennett (D-CO)*
       *Blumenthal (D-CT)*
       *Boxer (D-CA)*
       *Brown (D-OH)*
       *Cantwell (D-WA)*
       *Cardin (D-MD)*
       *Carper (D-DE)*
       *Casey (D-PA)*
       *Coons (D-DE)*
       *Cowan (D-MA)*
       *Durbin (D-IL)j*
       *Feinstein (D-CA)*

       *Gillibrand (D-NY)*
       *Harkin (D-IA)*
       *Hirono (D-HI)*
       *Johnson (D-SD)*
       *Kaine (D-VA)*
       *King (I-ME)*
  *Klobuchar (D-MN)*
       *Landrieu (D-LA)*
       *Leahy (D-VT)*
       *Levin (D-MI)*
       *McCaskill (D-MO)*
       *Menendez (D-NJ)*
       *Merkley (D-OR)*
       *Mikulski (D-MD)*
       *Murphy (D-CT)*
       *Murray (D-WA)*
       *Nelson (D-FL)*
       *Reed (D-RI)*
       *Reid (D-NV)*
       *Rockefeller (D-WV)*
       *Sanders (I-VT)*
       *Schatz (D-HI)*
       *Schumer (D-NY)*
       *Shaheen (D-NH)*
       *Stabenow (D-MI)*
       *Udall (D-CO)*
       *Udall (D-NM)*
       *Warner (D-VA)*
       *Warren (D-MA)*
       *Whitehouse (D-RI)*
       *Wyden (D-OR)*

*Folks: This needs to go viral. These Senators voted to let the UN take OUR guns.  They need to lose their next election.  We have been
betrayed.*

Notice that all of those voting to pass this were Democrats, not Republicans. Oh yes, I guess it goes with out saying the COONS and CARPER voted to ratify the UN Arms Treaty to take guns from Americans. I'm sure if Carney was able he would have voted for it too!

REMEMBER THIS AT THE POLLS COME ELECTION DAY.

The vote count matches a vote reported by The Hill on March 23, 2013

Senate votes 53-46 to stop US from joining UN Arms Trade Treaty
By Ramsey Cox

In the last batch of amendment votes to the budget, the Senate voted on several foreign policy proposals.

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) introduced an amendment that would prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty in order to uphold the Second Amendment. His amendment passed on a 53-46 vote.

Republicans have been critical of President Obama’s decision to consider the treaty, although Obama has said he would not vote for anything that would violate the Second Amendment.

The U.N. Arms Trade Treaty would regulate international arms sales. Negotiations end on March 28.
“We’re negotiating a treaty that cedes our authority to have trade agreements with our allies in terms of trading arms,” Inhofe said. “This is probably the last time this year that you’ll be able to vote for your Second Amendment rights.”

Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) offered an alternative amendment that clarified that under current U.S. law, treaties don’t trump the Constitution and that the United States should not agree to any arms treaty that violates the Second Amendment rights. His amendment passed by voice vote.

Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) said he thought it was irresponsible to be considering major foreign policy decisions at 3 a.m. on Saturday morning.

I Posted this on my corvette forum & not to many of them are democrats in fact I don't ever recall anyone admitting to being one. Lots of independents & who cares. I guess because they all had to work to afford a toy. I have some that are from Australia & they keep saying don't let them start with any gun control or you'll be in the same shape as us someday. I will do everything I can to make Carper & Coons go away forever.

Figures Coons & Carper are listed. They both need to go. Carper has been in some public office for way too long. Coons is just garbage to begin with.

Get the story from the horses mouth (or Democrat Jackass) as it were. You will see who voted to pass the bill and who voted against it. Saving you time, I'll tell you COONS and Carper both voted to give our 2nd Amendment Rights away. So did  CARDIN in Maryland.

Here's your documentation. And, that's the fact Jack!

Hmm.  Brings to mind the old joke (one of the few I remember from HeeHaw).
What's the difference between a horse race and a political campaign?
.
.
.
.
.

In a horse race, the whole horse runs!

Fairplay, Colorado has Burro Days where runners race along with a burro over Taylor Pass.  Maybe if they can provide the muleteers, we can volunteer to donate the ...  We don't have any passes in DE, so we'd have to send them there.  They'd like the gun laws.

No surprise that "our folks" voted for this. I have always said that Delaware is a Republican state lead by a Democratic county.

<heavy sigh>
Actually, it's mainly the part of the county above the canal.

Hard to believe until about the 60s we had more in common with states like Alabama than we did with Massachusetts. My how times change. For the better or not is up to the eyes of the beholder, but years ago you did not have stores in Wilmington with Bullet proof glass between the customers and the employees
