County Parks
« on: May 02, 2014, 02:28:31 PM »
New Castle. Kent. Sussex.  Yes or no?

From an older thread:

Banning Park is New Castle County Owned.  New Castle County has an illegal regulation stating "No firearms" in county parks.  But according to a lawyer friend of mine it is a unenforceable law.

How true is this and are there any newer laws?

Thanks!

I have also heard that this was non enforceable but to my knowledge has not been challenged in court or repealed.

Kent County YES.  Their illegal law was overturned years ago.  Also,  I verified this by speaking directly with Kent County Parks and Rec.

That might have to be done for New Castle County... (Calling them.)

From what I hear the NCC law is unenforceable, but the NCC police will still try, it will go on your criminal record, and it could get your CCDW application or renewal denied.
