No undershirt CCW
« on: May 25, 2014, 05:12:25 AM »
I don't always wear an undershirt and my skin appreciate something other that leather rubbing it all day long.

Any thoughts on a material I could pair with an IWB holster to accomplish this?

Secondly, The layer of fleece is to aid in comfort! I don’t know about you folks but if leather comes in contact with any bare skin I feel like a mule harnessed up to plow a field all day long!

You'll get used to it.  Really.
Very few guns are actually "illegal guns."  A gun misappropriated by a criminal is no more of an "illegal gun" than a stolen car is an "illegal car."

I will sometimes wear a tank top style t-shirt under my shirt.  It is a good compromise.

I've been carrying with 2 different kydex holsters so far this spring with just wearing a t-shirt (regular/outer) and have zero issues. On Mother's Day I wore just a short sleeve button-up shirt with zero issues.

Like Hawkeye, I always wear a Tank-T when carrying. I find it cool, cheap and comfortable.

+2 on the tank top. I wear a size smaller than usual. I love the fit and the feel.

I agree with the tank suggestions and employ that on a regular basis.  That being said, I don't always prefer it.  For instance, when I conceal IWB w/shirt tuck.  It's quite annoying to try and keep the inner shirt in place, get the holster positioning right, tuck the outer shirt, pull some slack, etc.  The the inner shirt ALWAYS rides up.

Unlike others, I find leather on my hip quite abrasive.  I appreciate the replies and will look into moleskin/fleece.

Thanks!

New concealed carry garment named: The Crotch Suspenders!

Like a climbing harness to firmly but comfortably hold a shirt down in your pants while allowing a second shirt to be tucked and pulled slightly loose.  ;D

Ok.. Back to your uprising clothes folks, nothing to see here.

There actually is a product designed to keep military dress uniforms / police uniform shirts tucked tight.
