Sounds like another good guy with a gun story

This just might be the case, at least locally that shows the futility of "gun free zones".  If the good doctor did not choose to ignore this ludicrous hospital  rule, many more would have surely died. Including the doctor and maybe the mush headed administrators who made such a policy.

The police have said the doctor using his gun probably saved a lot of lives. The shooter could have gone about emptying his gun at others.

Could it be that the British media has less of a liberal bias than our own?
I have not seen a single US headline for this story that leads off with the Doctor saving lives.

"Why does a doctor carry a gun? Americans really need to sort this obsessive gun culture out. A doctor is there to save lives. Totally indefensible".
