The polls show that Matt Denn is ahead in the AG's race--As you well know this is VERY bad.
His win will mean that we will need to spend the next 4 years fighting for our rights.
I predict that if he wins new anti gun owner legislation will be introduced as soon as the legislature convenes.
Ted Kitilia has publicly stated that he will make DE Shall Issue & will pursue reciprocity with as many states as possible.
We all need to put some effort into getting him elected. If even 5% of the gun owners in Delaware vote for him, he will win.
Without support from the AG's office it is highly unlikely that any anti-2A legislation will be passed.
Take action now:
-Call every fellow gun owner that you know & ask them to vote for Ted Kitilia
-Get an e-mail list from your gun club or other organization. Send an e-mail from your personal account & ask everyone to vote for Ted.
-Get lawn signs & campaign literature from Ted's HQ or print your own fliers asking people to vote for Ted
-Stake out your favorite range & spread the word.
-On Tuesday, if you know someone who can't get to the polls, take them there.
If you are a FFL or firearms instructor:
-Call & e-mail your customers or students. This is good business practice anyway & I don't know a single FFL in DE who does it.
You will probably sell a few guns & other items in the process. Customers like it when you check in, ask about their recent purchases.
Before you hang up, remind them to vote on Tuesday
-Consider having an election day special to attract attention. Offer a really good deal on ammunition or accessories.
Even if you don't make much money you will help ensure the future of gun ownership in Delaware.
-Have a "I voted" party at your shop. Get food trays from your local sandwich shop. A $100-$200 investment will go a long way toward promoting
customer loyalty.
Even if you think that this is an exercise in futility- DO IT.
There are over 200,000 gun owners in Delaware. Even if only 5% of them vote it will be enough to turn around any election.
