Here is a letter posted on Delaware Open Carry about Christiana Mall and their rules on firearms.
Now after going to the Mall and reading their so called code of conduct, my take is if they see your gun they are going to make you leave however none of their doors say specifically “no concealed carry”. What their Code of Conduct is is a poster in between the sets of doors that basically tells you what they can make you leave for and the very last sentence is no firearms or weapons. I never knew it existed until I found this letter. Also if you enter through the chain stores there’s no code of conduct at these doors. Me personally I will continue to carry concealed until they put something on their doors stating “No Concealed Carry” which is required by law.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your note regarding firearm access at Christiana Mall.
Yes, the official policy is no firearms are permitted in the center. We
have it posted at all of the entrances as part of our basic "code of
conduct".. Our mall is owned and operated by General Growth Properties
and all of their 200+ malls have the same policy. It's designed to
provide our customers a safe, friendly, and comfortable place to shop.
Malls are private property with public access, so we do reserve the
right to enforce policies that we feel are necessary.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Again, thanks for send a
note out for clarification.

Is he serious? Its a @@@@ shame that companies allow the political views of their managment to come up with such s__t.  I think I've been to that mall a total of 5 times in the past several years. My wife and I went there a couple months ago and I was so depressed that they got rid of the arcade!

OK the arcade has been gone for years. I do prefer the Concord Mall nut since they instituted the Under 18 program I don't mind going at night to walk around with the Wife and kids.

I wonder if they heard abot the mall shooting in Omaha, NE (sarcasm).

Just think if someone did that at Christiana Mall and no one had a gun to stop it. If someone does carry, they would possibly be able to stop the threat or at least, keep it in check til the calvary arrived.

It's much better to at least have a chance.

I, too, prefer having a “safe, friendly, and comfortable place to shop.”  Which is why I always carry at least one gun.  As far as “safe” shopping at Christiana Mall, I would recommend backing-up that up with an HK, AK, or AR.  For god’s sake, at least take a Mini or a carbine!
Very few guns are actually "illegal guns."  A gun misappropriated by a criminal is no more of an "illegal gun" than a stolen car is an "illegal car."

Maybe I will send a letter to management asking for some wider parking spaces so I can park my Bradley in the lot when I go there. ;D

What ever you do try and never get "made" all this can does is cause problems. The old saying is conceal it and keep it concealed. If Mall Security knows you have a gun be it open carry or concealed you will be asked to leave the mall. I found the letter on an open carry site where one of its members was asked to leave. IMO what they don't know won't hurt them. I do every once in a while go to the Christiana Mall either on a week night or after 5 on the week end and I feel of all places this is one I would prefer to be armed. How ever I usually go to the Concord Mall more less people and better atmosphere plus they still have sports card shows ;D. Also FYI to all you down starters Dover Mall is off limits all together it says right on the doors no concealed carry.

Sorry if I gave the impression that it is acceptable to made.  Not what I intended!  I would think that if someone were carrying openly that it would draw a lot of attention and make everyone nervous.  As for those of us carrying concealed.. what SigP250 said.  What they dont know wont hurt them.

If you don't mind, I would like to add a half a sentence. "What they dont know wont hurt them, but it might save them!"

like i said before, why patron shops that dont support your rights, and the mall either one,, aint exactly safe,! i understand that if its concealed who's gonna know, but why take the chance, just dont spend your hard earned money there. once the heat wave comes youre better off shopping in the city anyway, love those busses :'(
