If the liberals that rule Wimington and the rest of the State of DE had any nads the problems in Wilmington could be solved. If Stop and Frisk was implemented and done correctly it would take just a couple of months to rid the city of the scumbags. The libs do not want to offend a "certain" community but it is the bad elements of that community that are responsible. The majority of that community are law abiding and hard working folks. The system or lack of is the reason the thugs have taken over the streets. This is what has happened in Chicago and we know it is out of control. Again if Stop and Frisk was implemented correctly the problem would be solved. I am very much familiar with what happened a few years ago in NYC. It worked in NYC and it would work in Wilmington. Sorry folks these was a bit of a rant but continued liberal caused problems do that for me. I want to wish all and their families on this site a Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year.

Wilmington ranked among best small cities in America

The online lifestyle site thrillist.com enlisted help from dozens of writers across the country to help collate a list of the 15 best small cities with max populations of 70,000 to move to, before they get too popular.

In a refreshing moment of honesty by a politician, Mike Purzycki, Wilmington mayor. "While we are flattered, we take these types of rankings with a grain of salt, knowing they can be good or bad in any given poll or ranking, but we don't shy away from our ultimate goal which is to make Wilmington a much safer, more attractive, and more prosperous city."

However in the embedded thrillist article, a Wilmington resident hyped this. “The cost of living is cheap, you can walk everywhere, you have access to major metros via train or a short drive, some of the best beaches on the coast are an hour away.”

Huh? Elon Musk already has hyperloops to Atlantic City, Rehoboth and Bethany?

And for the hermits, the site lists another city just 15 miles west of The Stumps, Joshua Tree, pop. 7400. They mention the national park to the south but do not mention the MCAGCC to the north.

Yeah, it's a top destination for thrill seekers -- as in adrenaline-junkies toying with the idea of getting murdered.
Very few guns are actually "illegal guns."  A gun misappropriated by a criminal is no more of an "illegal gun" than a stolen car is an "illegal car."

I've often wondered if the majority of the violence is being perpetrated in Wilmington is actually being caused by individuals from other northeast large cities such as New York or Philadelphia? They get turned loose and move to Delaware and our Statist government coddles them here. Our LEOs probably know who most of these individuals are, but are powerless to do anything due to the policing policies of our Democrat over-lords.
I'm sure we have plenty of home-grown malcontents, but I think something attracts the criminal element from other places.
