Is this a good reason?
« on: April 24, 2015, 10:22:24 PM »
I work for a friend and handle deposits from time to time would using this as a reason on my application give me limitations?  Should I just stick to protect self, family and property when law enforcement is not around?

If you see you need it because of your job theyll most likely restrict you to only being able to carry while on the job

"Protection of myself, family, and property" is what I used on my application. Issued with no restrictions.

I agree with @del elec. This is the most accepted reason for a permit.

Here is the hammer from the Delaware Constitution
http://delcode.delaware.gov/constitution/constitution-02.shtml#P95_7849
ARTICLE I. BILL OF RIGHTS
§ 20. Right to keep and bear arms.

Section 20. A person has the right to keep and bear arms for the defense of self, family, home and State, and for hunting and recreational use.
Just a smelly deplorable dreg of society clinging to God and guns.

Just got mine in NCC and I used the simple protection of self, family while away from the home.  No problems

What was your turn around time on the permit?

I dropped off my application in Wilmington on March 4 and received it in the mail on June 17.  Approximately 3.5 months.
