Newbie...Kent County
« on: June 05, 2015, 12:22:57 AM »
Hello all,

I’m from Kent County and I received my concealed carry license today.  I filed my application on February 26th and received my license on June 4th (so it took exactly 14 weeks).  I’m retired military with two deployments to Afghanistan and one to Iraq.  I have extensive firearms training/experience but I’m a big-time newbie when it comes to concealed carry.  I’ve been browsing through the forum and it seems like this is a great place where someone like myself can learn a good deal about laws, holsters, and other concealed carry subjects.  I just acquired a full-time job on Dover Air Force Base and from what I understand, bringing a firearm onto a military installation is a big no-no.  So it looks like I won’t be carrying very much.
