Cinemark Christiana
« on: July 21, 2015, 02:55:47 AM »
Mrs. OGG and I went to see Trainwreck (great film).
No signs on or near the doors. So far, so good. We bought tickets at the kiosk.

Then, just as we're going into the actual theater area, there is a sign where they take your tickets that says "FIREARMS PROHIBITED."

We disregarded it, of course, as is our right.

Feeling ornery, and they have an Email address, so:

Maybe you should put the signage on the doors, instead of letting concealed carry permit holders walk in and buy tickets before you belatedly inform us that we’re not welcome?
Not that we care. My wife and I walked right past the sign with our guns, and enjoyed the movie. No matter where you put those signs, they don’t have force of law in Delaware. We can carry concealed in there whether you like it or not. If you noticed – which was rather unlikely – all you could have done was ask us to leave.

Interested if they reply and how. Last time the wife and I were up there I did not see any signs at all.  There were plenty of state troopers there but no signs

It is rare that I applaud the verbiage of liberals but... Bravo! @OGG and Mrs OGG.

Did you ever get a response back from the theater?

Yes it a proven thing, out of sight out of mind. Gee I did not see any sign. I am not going to let a business infringe on my right of self protection. I do not go to the movies very much and it has been at least a year and one half since I did. I am not a fan of Hollywood liberals and I say,"Screw'em."
