Boater ccdw question
« on: September 17, 2015, 09:38:11 PM »
I am curious to the ccdw laws for boaters. Are the Public launches, that are not in a state or federal park ok? DNR patrols these launches, such as Roosevelt and Cedar Creek. Also, is it lawful to carry a gun while on the water, such as Delaware bay, rehoboth bay, and the Atlantic ?

It is illegal to fire a gun of any kind from any vehicle or boat.

Thank you. Can you carry if you are going from one port to another?

It is illegal to have a loaded rifle or shotgun in on or against a boat. Pistol is not illegal
Be careful on Delaware bay.  New Jersey owns to the middle of the bay.  As for the Delaware River, (north of Liston Point) Delaware owns all the way to the low tide line on the Jersey side. Areas that have been filled In are Delaware.  So are docks out into the river.
