Chief Justice Scalia dead at 79
« on: February 13, 2016, 09:31:22 PM »
ww.foxnews.com/politics/2016/02/13/chief-justice-scalia-dead-at-79.html

Fox News is reporting that Chief Justice Scalia has died at age 79.

He was one of our best conservative justices.  This is a severe blow to the conservative majority on SCOTUS.  Now Obma gets to pick a replacement that will swing the balance of the court to the liberal side.

Also this.

Here are a few quotes from the Delaware Liberal Blog. The degree of disrespect is totally amazing but not a surprise considering how they also disrespect the Constitution. Justice Scalia's friendship with Justice Ginsburg is a prime example of the proper way to treat a philosophically divergent colleague. Too bad that the Progressives aren't smart enough or polite enough to do the same.

" There is a special place for him."

"So f---ing happy right now."

"I bet Scalia was with a young male prostitute when he kicked it."

There are even worse examples on other Progressive blogs.

Just goes to show the ignorance and lack of respect the Left has for anybody they don't agree with.
What a bunch of bologna.

I don't see any nomination passing the Senate this year.

Quote
Any Supreme Court nominee needs 60 votes to clear cloture, not just 51. The deal the parties struck on the use of the filibuster a couple of years ago specifically excluded Supreme Court justices, so any nominee will need 60 votes.

I believe Obama can do a "recess appointment" and get someone on the bench until the end of is presidency in January, 2017.  This can only be done when the Senate is in recess.  I heard the Senate is in recess until February 22, 2015.

The Senate is not in recess unless McConnell officially declares it to be in recess. Even if no one is there, they are not in recess.
Any appointee has to go through the Senate to be confirmed. I just heard that Scalia was pronounce dead by some one that wasn't even present, and his body was transported by State Police to be flown to Virginia to be buried, with no autopsy performed. Sounds odd to me.
The official cause of death was a heart attack. Yeah, right.

Shhh! You're on to us! Obama had Scalia killed, using polonium he got from Vladimir Putin... John Kerry sent it home in the diplomatic pouch.
And Michael Moore is in the hospital with "pneumonia..." well, actually, he's having several chins removed so he can fit in Scalia's robes.
This clears the way for President Sanders to appoint both Bill and Hillary to upcoming Supreme Court 'vacancies.'

Obama can just wait until the Senate adjourns January 3rd.  His term ends January 21st.  He can make the appointment then.  Never been done before, but he is a stinker and will stop at nothing.

We absolutely must win this next election!

According to the owner of the Resort ranch where Scalia died, when he (first in to the room)went into Scalia's room, he was in bed with a pillow over his head. Doesn't it seem odd that someone dying of natural causes like a heart attack would put a pillow over their own head?
