I hope it is reversed. There is a post on the PA board that has an e-mail from Sheriff Reese saying he will reverse it and saying he had problems getting background info from other states.

Don't understand this as they do a PICS check that would mirror NICS

I would have thought this was a pretty easy revenue stream.  But I do know the frustration of trying to get others to cooperate sometimes.

Good news! The Sheriff of Lancaster County, PA removed the notice concerning the discontinuation of non-resident permit processing from the website.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office and Delaware County Sheriff's Office will both process a Non-Resident Permit Application. You must first have your Delaware CCDW Course (DE Residents) to apply. We recommend Lancaster County as it is a one-stop-shop. You will need to make two trips for Delaware County.

I just returned from the Lancaster County Court House this morning and got my PA Non-resident.  I asked about them no longer accepting non-res starting next Monday.  They said that the policy change WAS to go into effect for non-resident due to high demand but they received an email this morning stating that the change was not going into effect.  I spoke with 2 separate people working there and both said the same thing.  I was 2nd in line and had a quick turn-around, however when I left there must have been at least 7 people waiting in that short of time.  It seems a case of trouble keeping up with higher demand.  Hopefully that's all it is and not a higher upper trying to stall everyone.  Will keep and eye on it to see if it will resolve soon and check for changes.
