According to the Florida Dept of Agriculture website I will receive my license in the mail between 7-10 days. I sent my application in a couple of weeks after my Delaware application. Still no word from the home state but it's good to know things are moving forward even if it's at a bureaucrat's pace.

The waiting sucks!  But hang in there.

REMEMBER you CANNOT carry concealed in DE on your FL permit.

I remember, but always worth mentioning for those that don't.

The real difference between Florida and Delaware is this.  Florida is Pro-Carry and want you to be able to protect yourself. Delaware is Anti-Carry Democrat and doesn't really want you to be armed to protect yourself. It's that simple.

Back in 2013, it took 6 weeks to get my Florida CCW. It took 20 weeks to get my Delaware CCW.

The wife and I have been waiting a little over 13 weeks now (Kent County).  We're thinking they got behind because of May being when permits expire. Just being patient but we are ready to carry. Hopefully yours won't be much longer.

Wow... I guess those of us who filed in May are just stuck...

I have a friend who carries. When I was talking to him about going through the process, (it took me a really long time), he told me it was ok to go slow, but once I filed, all I would think about was how long it takes to get the permit in the mail. Long story short, he is so very right! Every day that I watch the news (enough said there) makes me wish I had done this years ago!
