Ammo at Wally World

(1/2) > >>

Hawkeye:
While in the Wal-Mart in Milford the other day I stopped at the sporting goods counter and asked the clerk if they were getting out of the ammo business.  Their shelves have been bare lately of the more common hand gun rounds.  He said that Wal-mart was hesitant to buy more ammo only to have the new administration drastically increase the tax on ammo (the number he quoted was 500%) leaving them with a product they cannot sell.  I do not know if he knew what he was talking about or not.  Wal-Mart was usually a good place to pick up some of the Winchester white box FMJ's which were a decent range round.  Not any more.  :-\

GunEnvy:
Reportedly some of the items that have been on Obama's list is an increase in ammo. I've also heard to limit the size of smokeless powder containers to one pounders. If it's true I guess the idea is that if ammo is to expensive people won't buy guns.

Sigarms12:
I do have to say Walmart has the best prices for WWB however If you plan on going to Target Master dont take WWB ammo they will NOT let you use it. Per Target Master they dont suport Walmart however I think its the fact they want you to buy their higher priced ammo. Just my 2c

GunEnvy:
Target master also won't let you shoot lead reloads. I started loading FMJ for awhile but then I joined Delaware rifle and pistol club. You get your own key and can go 24/7 and shoot any kind of bullets you want.

Sigarms12:
I thought about joining Delaware pistol club but after reading their application I has too many questions like what's a building certificate plus I live two miles from Omenlandin
