I have a neighbor that works there. I haven't seen his car all day, and even if his is ok, I suspect they will keep him working till this is over.

I believe Hawkeye works or previously worked as a corrections officer. Not a good situation down there....

Just pray for the safety of the guards.  Heard the prisoners were ticked off about the mush they are fed for punishment for throwing feces.

I'd rather work with wild animals in a zoo than men in a prison. I had a friend that worked at a prison for a while. He said it was an everyday thing to get feces or urine thrown at you. These men are no better than animals, and wonder why they are treated so. It is their fault they are there. I have absolutely no pity for them. I still am for the death penalty, and always will be.

Amen Sturm Ruger!!!

Too bad that John Marino the Republican in the special election is opposed to the death penalty.

What punishment can you give to these animals? They are already in jail!!!

For many opposed to the death penalty, it's not so much placing a value on the lives of the bad people -- it's how hosed up the system has become.  It's gotten to be very expensive, but more importantly -- a lot of those convictions have turned out to be simply wrong.  In the end, I think that it is becoming clear that it would cost more to fix it than it's worth.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think that executions of the "real" bad guys should be mandatory viewing in schools, and available as pay-per-view for those at home.

Very few guns are actually "illegal guns."  A gun misappropriated by a criminal is no more of an "illegal gun" than a stolen car is an "illegal car."

Our prayers should be with Sgt. Steven Floyd, and his family. He gave his life to warn the other guards to "get out, it's a trap" so they got out, he didn't. He was a husband, a father, and a grandfather, a friend to all he knew. No greater love can one give than to save a friend.

God take his soul......

Too bad there can't be a trial and anyone involved in his murder, if legally convicted, be lined up against a wall and shot.  In full view of the other inmates.

I do fully support this type of punishment. Sadly...
