Night Sights
« on: March 07, 2017, 06:20:01 PM »
Good afternoon all,

I am looking into replacing the factory sights on my G43 and replacing them with either Trijicon HD night sights or XS big dot night sights.

Does anyone have a recommendations of what to switch too ?

Thanks !

Both are good options.  Personally, I would go for Trijicon HD's.  You may also want to consider just doing a front night sight and a plain black rear sight.  I have my Glock 19 set up that way and really like it.  Having said that, I've also got Sig factory night sights, Meprolight night sights, Trijicon, 10-8 (which I believe are re-branded Trijicons), Ameriglow, and Truglo.  All are perfectly serviceable and do their job well.  Currently, I'm very much partial to the factory night sights that my Sig Legion pistols have, however.

I have the Truglo t/fo on my XDs. Like them a lot. Have had Trijicon's on my P226 for six years.

I like the Trijicon HD with orange-outline front sight. Good for old eyes. The orange stands out against the background.
Just a smelly deplorable dreg of society clinging to God and guns.

I second that.  Chris has installed TFO's on my XDM and my glock 21, love them.

5 years with MeProLight nightsights on one and just ordered another set for another handgun. The older one is still just as bright as the new one. I never liked the black rear and front nightsight myself. I've never used different colored front and rear though do see their appeal.

Thank you all for the recommendations, I am going to order a set of the Tru-Glo TFO's (green/green) for my G43.
