Ccw renewal
« on: September 12, 2017, 03:27:21 AM »
It has been years since I have had my ccw permit. Do I need to retake the class and go reapply for a new permit. Or can I  just summit my original papers.

Three years ago, the answer from NCC was to start from zero.
Just a smelly deplorable dreg of society clinging to God and guns.

I'm with CB on that.. If it's been years, I thnk you'd have to start over.  Could call to confirm.
If you need a class let me know.

Think there is a LITTLE wiggle room.  If I remember, Condition 1 renewed after permit expired
but it was a SHORT time after.  I could be wrong on the person.  C1 if not you - sorry.

Mine is due next year, so I just went to the web yesterday and I got the renewal form/instructions.  It say nothing about other documents, procedures being required, only the application w/pics and money.  Three forms, one is instructions.

Mine is due in 2018 too.  I plan in Nov & Dec to carry my notary stamp with me to Action Pistol along with some apps.
Make it a little easier for the guys.  I'll even print their photos for a small donation to my fav charity (ME).

Agree with all here. If it's been years since expiration, start over.
You could email NCC prothonotary Dale Broom at the courthouse for confirmation.

I’m glad this topic came up. I just realized mine expires 2018 also . I will mail mine in . I’m not going anywhere near Wilmington if I’m not forced to at work.

From people I know and my own experience, mail or in person make no difference in how quick you get the
renewal.  Just get it in on time.  If you have put in your renewal, your license is still good even after the expiration date.

Our renewals took two months.  I did it in person. Two co workers mailed theirs in and they took 2 months.

Interestingly wife and I received renewal in same envelope.
