Pennsylvania Out of State Renewal

I know this is a common topic, but there isn't any new info. I live in Delaware and got my Pennsylvania "out of state" in Lancaster. I need to renew my PA by mid December. The holidays are fast approaching and would like to drive up there the this week. Couple questions and thanks for any responses.

1) Is Lancaster doing same day issues for renewals?
2) If not, will I have to drive back up there to pick it up or will they mail it.
3) Are other PA counties as "friendly" as Lancaster is/was regarding same day.

(I understand that I can call these places, but that's not real practical at the moment.)

The number to call is: 717-299-8200 for the Lancaster County Sheriff's office to get the official answer.
Thrid party answers will get you in trouble. If you want the answer, ask the people in charge.

Is there an option to have it mailed to you if same day isn't available? Maybe leave them with a SASE??

I decided to roll the dice and head to Lancaster. 1-1:30 pm on a Wednesday. 2 people ahead of me. In and out within 30 minutes with renewal in hand.

Delaware Co at Media is close enough that even if they don't do the same day, it is not a major trip.  Once they didn't, once they did.
