Firearms Training at Delaware Tech
« on: January 01, 2018, 03:19:44 PM »
Had never noticed it before but in the Del Tech Continuing Education catalog, there is a firearms training course listed to begin in February through March at Stanton Campus. Not sure if this is something new or that I just missed it in the past.

21 hours is extensive training. And only 219 bucks! I have never heard of this class. It's probably Radnor lol.

Nope, not me.  I've seen it offered for sometime now.

I offer NRA training and Delaware CCDW training.  Not saying this is not NRA basic pistol, it could be.

It does mention the instructor. Interesting to see how fast it fills up as there are only 7 slots. I like the fact it's done in the evenings during the week.

I took this class a few years ago just for sh*ts and giggles.  Not bad.  Definitely could've been shortened, but it's only a few hours a night so it ends up stretching on.  Range time was limited and done at Ommelanden.  Instructor's name was Randy.  Nice guy.

Ommelanden IS cold during the winter months.

Thank you for the kind words Bill.  Chris and I will be at Camp Rodney
this weekend doing BIT & Rifle Instructor classes.  Sunday we expect
to be on the range for a few hours.  It's going to be COLD there too being
just off the water.

I'm surprised none of you have heard of it before, as the class has been around for many years.

I took it in 1991, for my DE CCW license.

I have to say, it was an excellent course.

If I could, I would have shown you the certificate.

I've seen it listed before.  Never really had an interest in taking it as I offer the same course.
