A three judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court (of all places) has ruled that the Second Amendment protects the individual's right to carry outside the hoe striking down a Hawaii law.

This is for open carry.  Hopefully this will be upheld as we see the impact of President Trump’s court appointments at the circuit and appeal level and ultimately at the Supreme Court level.

Stay tuned.

‘Open carry’ rejected by Hawaii lawmakers.

Not surprising, but Hawaii has rejected the idea of allowing open carry.

...
IIRC, after Moore v. Madigan, Chicago & IL Dem politicos were similarly outraged and vowed to appeal it. But they ultimately caved in to anti Dems in CA and NYC and nationally and did NOT appeal out of fear of forcing ALL states (HI, CA, MD, NJ, NY/NYC, MA, D.C., etc) to pass Shall Issue if they also lost at SCOTUS. We should know before September 1st if there will be any appeal of Young by Hawaii County or by CA9 (sua sponte).

So, while this is a great win and worth a small celebration, we're not home yet....

(Since this was a CA9 panel, if it is not appealed en banc, those in CA will benefit from it too.)

Update: the County of Hawaii asked for and received an extension to Sept 14th, inclusive. So we should know by Sept 15th if they are going to appeal this decision.
