Delaware Gun Rights is firing back at lobbying efforts underway by the Delaware Coalition Against Gun Violence, who's calling on lawmakers to introduce another ban on assault weapons next session.

The Delaware Coalition Against Gun Violence recently published a brochure that stated one of their legislative goals for the upcoming session is to ban assault weapons.

Last session, legislation that would have imposed a ban on assault weapons was struck down when lawmakers voted against suspending the rules in the Senate to hold a floor debate after the bill failed to make it out of committee.

Mitch Denham, president of Delaware Gun Rights, said another attempt at a ban is definitely on the horizon and that the best way to prevent such a bill from passing would be to flip party control in the Senate.

Solution---GO TO THE POLLS AND VOTE FOR PRO GUN CANDIDATES!!!  I fear that this will be another year of <50% turn out of republicans in Delaware.  We need to get people off theirs duffs to vote.  Talk to your neighbors, offer a ride, etc.

There was a time when I was growing up in Delaware, when we were in the top 5 US economies.  After many years of Dem rule, we are now #36.  That's what they call progress.

IMHO, if you are a Republican or even a Conservative Independent, and you don't go to the polls in Nov. and VOTE, and Dems get elected, it's not be cause they won, it's because you sat on your a$$ and gave the election away by sitting out the mid-terms.

NO EXCUSE FOR NOT VOTING IS GOOD ENOUGH!

I have voted every 2 years since 1963.  I often had to hold my nose while doing so, but I always show up and consider myself informed.  Something too many voters are not, as is evidenced by New Castle Co..

Problem is, the Dems outnumber the Repubs by a good majority. We have to educate the Non-Affiliateds to win anything. They are the key.
