FGP sounds familiar.  Back then I was purchasing diet coke 2l bottles. Usually multiples of 8 (plastic carrier).   


First state amateur radio club?  Met at wdel/wstw?

Not sure if we ever met or not. I wasn't a member of FSA although knew a number of people that were. I took my tests through the AWARE group up on 202. I was in computer field service and traveled around the 4 state area. There were a number of us on the road during the day that kept the 73 lit up. I lived near Newport at that time.

Still use 2m/440 in the vehicle occaisionally. usually on the 146.70 Newark or 448.825 Delaware City machines.

I worked with a ham in the 70's, while at DuPont.  WA3JTQ, 2 mtr.  He often carried his walkie when we traveled.
