Just went to Berks's sheriff's web site (https://berkspaso.permitium.com/ccw/start) and saw this:

ATTENTION APPLICANTS
Please note that you must be a current resident of Berks County in order to apply for, (or renew), a License to Carry.  All out of County applications will be denied by our staff.

So, looks like York is my only option? . Anyone have any other advice?

The "resident of Berks County" pertains to PA residents. PA residents are required to apply in their home county for an LTCF.  My understanding is that out of staters are still processed in Berks County.

Just FYI, I applied for my PA non-resident permit two weeks ago.  Today in the mail I received my check and application returned with a letter from Sheriff Eric Weaknecht stating:

"Unfortunately, and until further notice, the Berks County Sheriff's Office is no longer accepting out-of-state applications as we need to prioritize application and renewal requests from residents of Berks County.

We hope to again open applications to our out-of-state neighbors in the near future."

So, in spite of the fact that PA. has a non-resident concealed carry permit, it allows the county sheriff to pick and choose if they want to follow that law. Sounds like PA. is getting more and more Liberal/Left all the time.

That is a screwy thing about PA.  The legislature is in control of the R's, but there seem to too may Rino's, so Wolf gets what ever he wants.

Anyone done the PA application recently? Trying to figure out which township will be the quickest/least amount of trips there.

I believe it's York now.

https://yorkcountypa.gov/courts-criminal-justice/court-courtrelated-offices/sherifs-office/concealed-weapons-permits.html

License to Carry Firearms

If you are either a resident of York County or an out-of-state resident, please utilize the "LICENSE TO CARRY FIREARMS" link below for the new online process or click on our forms section for a application that can be mailed to the Sheriff's Office.

To complete the Firearms Licensing through the York County Sheriff's Office click on the link below.

https://cdn.myocv.com/ocvapps/a16917401/files/OIP4DQLAGXK.jpg

(Note- If your license is expired use the "New" License to Carry Application option)

Once your application is approved you will be contacted to complete the process.

Out-of-State residents must accompany their applications with a colored photo of both their Driver's License and License to Carry Firearms from the state in which they currently reside.
