GUN SALES ARE ON THE RISE AGAIN

I read the other day that in some states the the sale of guns has risen 130% in the month of June 2020 over the record for sales in June 2019. I also see the number of DECCW permits are on the rise again. Some times I have question of some of the applicants, buy I stand for their right to apply.

I see a lot in the paper for inner city people.  I wonder where they find 5 references without records.  OOppss, racist!!!  I have also noticed a lot of husband/wife, or at least same last names.

Considering that we don’t want to go into the inner city unarmed, the people who have to live there should be able to get their CCDW if qualified.  Most of us required less motivation to apply.

on days that I work, I drive by X-Ring multiple times in a day. When the restrictions were at their heaviest, the line of people outside told the story.I saw people of all ages, races and genders lined up to enter. It was a marvelous sight.

Judging by their names there are an increase amount of Blacks and Hispanics applying.  The Guide has a list every week of applicants and it is growing every week. %7 one week then 74 the next.

Gunn sales are at an all time high, and so is the price of handgun ammo. I believe dealers are ripping us off!

I heard the other day there are 434 million guns owned by the citizens of America. I don't know whether that includes the nearly 5 million sold this year so far.

From what I have read, the 5 million is new gun owners. There have been over 17 million federal background checks performed this year.

Actually there have been a LOT more than 5 million guns sold.   NICS background checks for the past 12 months are about 37 million.   This is not an exact count of guns sold as there are other factors that could mean more or less guns to some degree.   Such as:

Some of these checks are for concealed carry permits.   However multiple guns sold at the same time would only show up as one check.  Quite a number of states ( not Delaware) allow retail sales of guns to Concealed Carry license holders and there would be no NICS  check on those guns.

The total number sold is most likely close to the 37 million mark which is about 30% higher than any previous year. 

As guns do not expire or go away, it is easy to see that the number of privately owned firearms is well above 400 million. According to the trade organization NSSF, about 20 million of these are what the media likes to call “ assault weapons”.
