I did get my CCDW last week!  seemed like it took forever! (it did)

Radnor:
How long and what county?

We'll be the judge if it was enough pain.

BTW, CONGRATS!

Just Bill:
Forever means you didn't get it.  Be happy you are not in NJ or MD.  It's forever there.

slsharp:
Sussex Co.

I started the process 11/1/2020, getting Character References, putting ad in The Guide, signing up for 'the class', getting pictures of myself, and of course finger prints.

My Character References were not clear enough on question 4. "Are you aware of the reason why this applicant has applied for a license to carry a concealed deadly weapon? Yes (check box)  No (check box)  If yes, explain___________________
They were sent back to me in the mail, and I had to ask all 5 if they would be more specific, and include protection for myself, family, my dog, etc. (which they did).
So, this begs the question, WHY HAVE A CHECK BOX FOR "NO" IF THAT IS NOT AN OPTION?  And, why should your character witness(s) even CARE why I want the CCDW?  I now have to explain myself to them, which really pisses me off.

Clearly, it's a trick, a delay tactic to impede the acquisition of my CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to bear arms!  Some people might actually give up at this point!

Anyway, all told it has taken 5 months.

I really, really hope 'people' (of all political parties) wake up and realize we are being brought slowly to a boil, as in the boiling frog syndrome !  We cannot be separated from our firearms so that politicians can have their way with us!!

I would like to see billboards pop up across the state, showing what the socialists are doing to us!

Regards,
Simon

Radnor:
Yep, question 4.

I make sure I tell my students to tell their references their reasons so the reference person will check yes and explain.

Recently heard they're rejecting no.
