CCDW Application Inquiry Contact

(1/2) > >>

Vig:
I searched through the forum and was able to find one contact (Dale Broome), but that was 2 years ago. Not sure if that same person is still in office as I saw on her Linkdin that she might have just recently retired.

Is that person still the go-to person to reach out to? I’m in Kent County if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Vig:
Thank you.

I just want to check on the status of my CCW application I put in.

I recently send a letter to a company that makes that enzyme type pipe cleaner, suggesting that it does not work, with pics of my clogged pipe and the $820 bill.  I have received two notices of discount coupons.  They listen as well as the gument.

My best advice is to sit tight and be patient.  I know it's not what you want to hear, but the likely cause of the delay is at the DOJ level right now.  Thanks to the moratorium that was put on in person court appearances during COVID, Deputy AG's are swamped and focusing all of their attention on resolving the cases, both old ones that were put on hold and new ones that are flowing in daily.  Unfortunately, that means that they are less diligent about some of their ancillary assignments like reviewing CCDW applications.  I haven't practiced in Dover for about a year so I don't know what their staffing situation is, but if it's like the DOJ in New Castle County, they have a ton of open DAG vacancies so staff shortage can further contribute to the delay in processing the application.
