I had to drive my son down to Newark, to get a procedure done to his eyes.
He couldn't drive after the procedure. So I have some time to kill, and I
go over to the gun shop in Newark. I have been receiving emails from them
for weeks, telling me about the new laws working their way through congress,
and I wanted to get a better understanding of where we stood after the dust
settles. What might be a problem, and what should I consider unloading now,
while there is still time. I walk up to the counter...

Me - Hi, I would like to ask about the new gun laws, and...
Counter Guy - I hate to cut you off, but we aren't answering any questions
about the new gun laws.
Me - Well you have been sending me at least two emails each week about them, so I figured you must know more than me about what is going on.
Counter Guy - No, we don't. It changes every day.
Me - Well what about trade-ins, and consignments?
Counter Guy - We stopped doing any of that, sorry, we can't help you.

I still love that place, but, this last visit was literally, buy an AR or
GTFO.

They probably don’t want to be quoted in case someone gets locked up for running afoul of this law.

The wall behind the counter was nothing but, AR's, AK's, and SBR's.
It wasn't said, but the feeling I got seeing the display was, if not sold
very soon, the inventory was going to another state.

It may be until Delaware gets sued and loses.  Even with the most recent bouts of scotus gvr's and their (hopefully) likelyhood of siding with pro 2A, including any awb's, my guess is Delaware and the governor won't voluntarily reneg its order

But we can only hope.  There is already a gvr regarding assault weapons ban, which is Bianchi v frosh

Rifles that do not have a detachable magazine (sks, Garands) should be ok but who knows.  The problem with SA rifles that don’t have the cosmetic features is the finger placement under the trigger.

Some say that Ruger Ranch and such are ok but everybody is nervous. 

Remember after Maryland passed it’s law it was 6 months before anyone started selling stripped lowers. 

California, New York and others do have “compliant” versions of the AR platform.  These are either magazines that are not removable without a “tool” (tip of a bullet is a tool) or “featureless” rifles with detachable magazine lacking the cosmetic features like grenade launcher, flash suppressor, pistol grip, retractable stock or trigger placement with non trigger fingers under the action. 

I assume these will come to Delaware but gun dealers will be nervous until things clear up
